Hi everybody!
Welcome to my pets column, where I show you the animal friends we call pets. Today’s article is about the downstairs science room animals, and no I am not talking about the students. (All photo credits go to Kathryn H.)
First, we have our oldest pet in the science room, Bill Nye the Science Crab. Bill has been here since August of this year and is 6 months old. He is a baby hermit crab, which are very friendly unless provoked. Bill is also a very social crab with many fans just waiting to hold him.

Next, we have Alaska the twintail betta fish. He is a not so social fish, who lives by himself in a five gallon tank with his cute plant. Alaska has been with us since August of this year, and is 6 months old. Even though Alaska is anti-social he is a very friendly little fish.

Last, but not least, we have Ginger the spider. Ginger has been with us since October, and is 2 months old. Ginger is a brown recluse spider which have venomous bites, so don’t let her out of her enclosed space. Like Alaska, Ginger is anti-social but is still a great pet and we love her.

Since this article Ginger has passed on. R.I.P Ginger. We will miss you.
