This weekend Elora and I decided to make Christmas pretzel sticks. Both of our families normally make a Christmas pretzel dessert for Christmas, so we both know a little bit of what to do. We did four different colored flavors, Green was mint, red was red velvet, brown was hot chocolate, and white was white chocolate flavored. The mint flavor was really strong and the red velvet flavor was different from what we expected but both were still good. The process was pretty simple for the both of us and it went by pretty fast.
In the end, we both had fun making the pretzels and we agreed we’d love to make them again, or even try making something new, who knows. This was making pretzels with Elora and Brayden.
Ingredients and materials
- 12oz white and brown melting chocolate
- 6oz red and green melting chocolate
- 40 pretzel sticks
- Peppermint sprinkles and small ball sprinkles
- 2 large bowls (must be able to hold at least 12-130z)
- 2 small bowls (must be able to hold at least 6-7 oz)
- 4 spoons (for dipping and drizzling)
- 1-2 baking sheets
- Wax paper/parchment paper
- Microwave and freezer
Procedure
- Prepare your bowls, pan, wax paper, and melting chocolate.

- Put the white and brown chocolates in the large bowls and red and green in the smaller bowls.
- Melt chocolates (according to the instructions on the back)
- While the chocolates are melting, prepare your first pan and place wax paper over it.
- Stir the chocolates to see if they are fully melted. If not fully melted, microwave for 20 seconds at a time and stir in between each time.
- When the chocolates are melted, prepare your spoons and pretzel sticks.
- Cover the pretzels with white and brown chocolates and leave about an inch of the pretzel uncovered.
- Then place them on the pan (be sure to work fast so the chocolates don’t reharden to fast)
- Drizzle the green and red melts on top with any pattern you would like and add the sprinkles on top
- Place the pan in your freezer and wait 5-10 minutes
- Remove from freezer then enjoy
