What is your favorite thing about teaching here at St. Pat’s?
I love teaching students to read and more hands-on activities in science.

This is my first year teaching.
Did you always want to be a teacher, if not what did you want to become?
No, I wanted to be a researcher or a biologist.
What was your favorite subject in school?
Science was my favorite subject in school.

I teach First Grade.
What is your favorite thing about teaching here at St. Pat’s?
It is hard to pick just one favorite thing about St. Pat’s! I greatly appreciate our community!
How long have you been teaching here?
I have been teaching here for seven years. I taught Third Grade for five years, and this is my second year with First Grade.
Did you always want to be a teacher, if not what did you want to become?
I have always wanted to be a teacher! My parents say that I taught my brother his ABCs.
What was your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject when I was in school was Science.

What class/classes do you teach?
Second Grade–all the classes except Art, Music, P.E., and Computers.
What is your favorite thing about teaching here at St. Pat’s?
I enjoy going to Mass and being able to teach Religion.
How long have you been teaching here?
39 years.
Did you always want to be a teacher, if not what did you want to become?
Yes, in high school I knew I wanted to study teaching, and I played School.
What was your favorite subject in school?
Reading and English. I also like music class and choir.

I teach all subjects in Third Grade.
What is your favorite thing about teaching here at St. Pat’s?
I love teaching at St. Pat’s because I love that the whole school feels like a family. I love that everyone not only knows each other but also supports, encourages, and cares for each other.
How long have you been teaching here?
This is my first year teaching at St. Pats.
Did you always want to be a teacher, if not what did you want to become?
I have always loved working with kids, but I never thought I would be a teacher. I actually went to college at Mizzou to get my journalism degree. I wanted to be a sports journalist.
What was your favorite subject in school?
I loved writing when I got to write about what I was interested in. However, my favorite subject was Math. I like working with numbers and solving problems. I also loved all my math teachers, which might have something to do with why I enjoy it so much.

I teach Fourth Grade and Fifth Grade Social Studies and Language Arts.
What is your favorite thing about teaching here at St. Pat’s?
My favorite thing about teaching at St. Pat’s is being a part of this community that treats each other like family. The students and teachers create such wonderful bonds.
How long have you been teaching here?
This is my second year teaching at St. Pat’s
Did you always want to be a teacher, if not what did you want to become?
I always wanted to be a teacher. I would play School and want to help kids understand what they were learning.
What was your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject in school was Writing.

Fourth and Fifth [Grade] Math, Science, and Religion.
What is your favorite thing about teaching here at St. Pat’s?
Getting to teach about Jesus and how cool He was. I also love spending time with my students.
How long have you been teaching here?
I’ve been a teacher for four years at St. Pat’s.
Did you always want to be a teacher? If not, what did you want to become?
I went to two years of nursing school before realizing that I don’t like blood. Then, I found my love for teaching and here I am.
What was your favorite subject in school?
Reading or Religion.

What class/classes do you teach?
I teach Sixth through Eighth Grade Math and Algebra.
What is your favorite thing about teaching here at St. Pat’s?
I really enjoy when a student has been working really hard and finally has that “Ah-ha” moment. It makes it all worth it.
How long have you been teaching here?
This is my sixth year.
Did you always want to be a teacher, if not what did you want to become?
NO!! I went to school for engineering and worked for GE as a Controls engineer for a few years before starting a family. Teaching came later.
What was your favorite subject in school?
Definitely Math and Science. I had wonderful teachers!

Sixth through Eighth Language Arts.
What is your favorite thing about teaching here at St. Pat’s?
Teaching is so much fun when you have really supportive parents who reinforce behavior at home. That’s what we have at St. Pat’s, so I’m really lucky; I have fun everyday at my job.

Did you always want to be a teacher, if not what did you want to become?
One of my earliest memories is riding in the car and telling my mom and older sister that I wanted to be a teacher and an author. Still working on the author part. 🙂

Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Grade Science.
What is your favorite thing about teaching here at St. Pat’s?
We have such a great group of students here. They are amazing!

For six years.
Did you always want to be a teacher, if not what did you want to become?
Yes! I wanted to be an Art teacher.
What was your favorite subject in school?
Art, Math, and Computer Science.

Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Grade Religion class.
What is your favorite thing about teaching here at St. Pat’s?
My favorite thing is when I see a child get excited about their faith.
How long have you been teaching here?
One and a half years.
Did you always want to be a teacher, if not what did you want to become?
I studied in college to become a Psychologist, but have done many other jobs.
What was your favorite subject in school?
History and Psychology.
