In this article, I will be ranking the top ten active professional soccer players and telling you what makes them the best. Keep in mind these are only my opinions.
10. De Bruyne (Manchester City – Premier League)
Kevin De Bruyne is one of the best passers in the world. His main problem is that he is very injury prone. He has missed almost half the games this season and last season because of injuries. But when he is in form you can be sure that he will either score or assist in every game.
9. Palmer (Chelsea – Premier League)
Cole Palmer is a relatively new player on the Premier League scene with 2023 being his breakout season. He has great technical flare and shooting. He has established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League in the last two seasons.
8. Musiała (FC Bayern – Bundesliga)
Jamal Musiala is an incredible dribbler and finisher. His technical ability helps him to dribble past defenders in the box and score. He is still only 22 years old so he has the potential to become one of the best players of all time.
7. Mbappe (Real Madrid – LaLiga)
Kylian Mbappe is one of the fastest people to ever step onto a football pitch. His speed and skill allows him to blow past defenders and score easily.
6. Haaland (Manchester City – Premier League)
Although Erling Haaland has been having a disappointing season, I still think he deserves a spot on this list. He is very fast and he’s an incredible finisher. His speed and finishing combined with his physicality makes him a nightmare for defenders.
5. Vinícius (Real Madrid – LaLiga)
In my opinion, I think Vinícius José Paixão de Oliveira Júnior is overrated because he does not have the best shooting, but I can not put him lower than 5th place. His explosive pace allows him to get in behind the defence and set up chances for him and his teammates. He was one of the top contenders to the Ballon D’or and a lot of people think he should have won.
4. Rodri (Manchester City – Premier League)
Rodrigo Hernández Cascante has been injured for most of this season, but last year he carried his country to the Euros victory and his team to the premier league victory. His efforts won him the Ballon D’or. The Ballon D’or is the award for the best soccer player of the year which is awarded by UEFA and the French Football Magazine.
3. Raphinha (Barcelona – LaLiga)
Raphael Dias Belloli is a very versatile player and he can play almost all of the attacking positions. He has been putting up crazy goal numbers this season with 11 goals in ten games in the Champions League.
2. Bellingham (Real Madrid – LaLiga)
Jude Bellingham is one of the best young prodigies of all time. Bellingham alongside Palmer dragged England all the way to the Euros Final. He also won the champions league. He had 19 goals and six assists in LaLiga, which is crazy for a midfielder.
1. Salah (Liverpool – Premier League)
Mohamed Salah has been having a crazy season with 18 goals and 13 assists in 18 games. He is rarely injured and incredibly consistent. He has scored around 20 goals per season in the Premier League since joining Liverpool from Roma.
