This is my favorite Disney movie ever and I really like talking about the characters so here we are!
Jack Skellington
Jack is a skeleton that wears a black and white suit and a black bow tie Near the climax of the movie, he sports a Santa costume with a hanging beard.
His personality is sometimes enthusiastic to the point where it is hard for other people to communicate with him.
He is known to be the king of Halloween Town and the main protagonist of The Nightmare Before Christmas.
He is voiced by Chris Sarandon and sung by Danny Elfman.
Zero
Zero is a ghost dog with a pink collar on a jack-o-lantern nose.
When there is a fog rolling into Halloween Town and prevents Jack from lifting off, Zero comes to help light the way for the skeleton reindeer.
He is also Jack’s pet.
His voice actor is by Frank Welker.
Sally
Sally is a Frankenstein-esque ragdoll with blue skin, red hair, and a stitched up dress.
Her personality is a kind person who is also curious at times.
She is a lover of Jack and tries to prevent him from going through with his Christmas plans so it won’t lead to disaster.
She is voiced by Catherine ‘O Hara.
The Mayor
The Mayor wears a gray suit with a red ribbon, spider tie, and a top hat. His most striking feature is his head that spins depending on his mood.
His personality is easily flustered when anything is out of line that he can’t handle.
He is known as the secondary leader of Halloween Town.
His voice actor is Glen Shadix.
Lock, Shock, and Barrel
Lock, Shock, and Barrel are three children dressed in a devil, witch, and skeleton costume.
As henchmen, they are known as mischievous while also fighting with each other from time to time.
Their voices are Paul Reubens for Lock, Catherine O’ Hara for Shock, and Danny Elfman for Barrel.
Dr. Finkelstein
Dr. Finkelstein is a mad scientist that wears black goggles, a lab coat, and a head that reveals his brain.
His is the creator of Sally and her parental figure.
As her father, he is always having Sally in the Castle so she doesn’t escape to prevent her from causing any trouble, being mostly skeptical.
When Jack was posing as Santa Claus, Dr. Finkelstein built the skeleton reindeer he used on his slay. During that time, he was also building his wife, Jewel.
His voice actor is William Hickey.
Oogie Boogie
Oogie Boogie is a brown, sack-like creature filled with multiple bugs.
For his personality, he is known as a scarer to the Halloween Town residents and a gambler. He is known to also cheat at games.
He is the main villain of The Nightmare Before Christmas.
He’s voiced by Ken Page.
