Did You Know? With Bridgette and Beau: Every Catholic Church Has a Relic

This Did You Know? Column Features the Relic at St. Patrick

Every Catholic church has a relic, some more than one. A relic is a bone fragment, piece of clothing, ashes, or any physical representation of a canonized saint. Our church’s relic, a bone fragment, comes from St. Irenaeus, an Italian bishop from the second century, and it lives on the underside of our church altar.  His feast day is celebrated on June 28th.
