Hello everyone, it’s me Logan B. and I have yet another Who Would Win article. This time I’m changing things up and doing an article featuring tanks. The two contenders in this match will be the Soviet KV-2 and the famous French ARL-44
KV-2
The KV-2 is the tank that most people think of when they think of tanks. The KV-2 was a popular heavy tank used by the Soviet Union in the early years of World War 2. There were 334 KV-2s made but were used mostly on the eastern front. The KV-2 was not the best at traveling long distances. It was slow, it ran out of fuel fast, and broke down frequently. The KV-2 was not a very accurate tank due to its large 152 mm caliber gun. The KV-2 was very big and tall making it an easy target for enemy tanks and artillery. The KV-2 was a scary thing for any enemy that stood in front of its powerful 152 mm gun. If the KV-2 managed to hit its target, it would be lucky to be there.
ARL-44
The ARL-44 was a tank that was designed during World War 2 but wasn’t completed until 1949. There were only 60 ARL-44s completed during 1949-1951. The ARL-44 was a fast tank that could not travel very far without having engine problems, or running out of fuel. The ARL-44 was an accurate tank unlike the KV-2 but it never proved itself in combat. The ARL-44 was armed with a powerful 90 mm anti-tank gun, making it a feared French heavy tank. The ARL-44 was not that big so enemy artillery had a difficult time hitting it, if they could even find it. The ARL-44s accurate gun was also terrifying to be in front of. The 90 mm gun can penetrate up to 212 mm of armor with a single armor-piercing shell.
