Follow these guidelines to create a Fruit Dragon!

REMEMBER–This character is COMPLETELY YOURS! You may use it however you’d like!

  1. Choose a fruit. It can be whatever you want!
  2. Open a picture of that fruit on a tablet, chromebook, computer, or phone! (Whatever device you have access to)
  3. Draw your dragon! I know it may sound odd, but this isn’t a drawing tutorial. This shows the steps of character creation.
  4. Your dragon doesn’t have to look good, just remember to give it elements of the fruit you picked! EX: Pineapples have spines, strawberries have seeds on the outside, watermelons have stripes, etc.
  5. The inside of the wings, the belly, and the inside of the ears will look like the inside of the fruit you picked.
  6. Now COLOR YOUR DRAGON! Keep in mind the colors of your fruit, but make the character yours.
  7. Now show me the fruit dragon you created! (Don’t forget to include what fruit it’s based off of)
  8. Give your drawing to Mrs. Greenway (ask your teacher if you can hand-deliver it, or you can leave it in her mailbox) and we’ll feature it in The Emerald Press!
