Teacher Spotlight: Ms. Elizabeth Puma

Take a look into the life of our wonderful 4th Grade teacher!

Ms. Puma is our great 4th Grade teacher of 17 students. Born in Chicago, Illinois, her favorite holidays are Halloween. and the upcoming Christmas. When she was in school, her most liked subject was social studies, and she attended Saint Xavier University in Chicago. She has been teaching since 2018, making this her fourth year as a teacher. Ms. Puma’s favorite foods include tacos, and hot chicken wings, which I agree is a good choice.

An all-time favorite book of hers is The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales, a book about a cheese man thinking that people are attempting to eat him, but they are really just trying to escape his smell, which I would guess is similar to asiago cheese. Ms. Puma likes to play with her two kids, and go to the park in her free time, which sounds like a relaxing, chill activity.

This has been her first year teaching at St. Patrick school. Her favorite subject to teach to her students is writing. And the best part of teaching in her opinion is “Seeing the satisfaction of the kids understanding what I’m teaching.”
