Annual G.R.A.C.E. Toy Drive
Mrs. Meusch’s 7th Grade class help our school collect Christmas toys for children in need
Every year in the season of giving, Rosalia Meusch and her 7th grade students conduct the G.R.A.C.E (Greater Rolla Area Charitable Enterprise) toy drive, in an attempt to make Christmas memorable for not only children and families in need, but for the students of St. Patrick as well.
Mrs. Meusch has been running the toy drive for the past 24 years, and she doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. “The majority of students in our school don’t know what it’s like to be poor,” she said when I asked what the toy drive means to her. “This way students can start giving back to those who need it.”
When I asked Mrs. Meusch, she said that the toy drive may receive over 200 items in a given year, which are then delivered all over Phelps county. In the aftermath of the event, G.R.A.C.E always sends a letter thanking the school and especially Mrs. Meusch for her help in making this Christmas memorable for those in need.
