News and Updates
In this article, I’ll go over some of the recent changes to the video game Brawl Stars. Brawl Stars is a mobile game that has gained a lot of popularity recently. It is a multiplayer online battle arena developed by Supercell, the creators of Clash of Clans. I’m going to talk about the things that have happened since the end of February.
Gadget Rework
A gadget is a button that you can click during a match that activates a special ability, such as dashing forward or pulling enemies with your next attack. Before this update, every brawler had a gadget cooldown that was 5 seconds long, but you could only use the gadget 3 times per match.
After the rework, every gadget has unlimited uses, but there is a much longer cooldown between uses. The length of the cooldown can now be between 7-30 seconds with the better gadgets having a longer cooldown.
Ranked Rework
Ranked is a 3v3 mode where you get a random map, but get to select your brawler after you see what map you’re playing. After you reach diamond rank, each of the six players can ban a brawler.
The update changed multiple things, one of them being that you now need 12 brawlers at power 11 to play in mythic rank. It also added a new rank called “pro rank”. This changed the rank system to go bronze, silver, gold, diamond, mythic, legendary, master, and then pro. All ranks except pro have a part I, II, and III.
The update also removed modifiers from ranked. It also added 3 brawlers that you can pick and will be maxed out for the ranked mode only. The 3 brawlers for this season are Leon, Gene, and Emz.
Pro Pass
The ranked update also added a new thing, the pro pass. The pro pass is similar to the brawl pass, expect you get pro pass xp by playing ranked and ranking up. There is also a paid version of the pro pass. It gives up more progression, allowing you to complete it faster, and it also gives you a lot more gems and cosmetics.
The pro pass also added a new skin rarity called pro. Pro skins start out as just regular skins and aren’t that cool, but you can upgrade pro skins a total of 11 times. Once you upgrade the pro skin, it gives you more cosmetic details on that skin. The first pro skin is Astral Colt.
Finx
The update adds two new brawlers, one of which is Finx. Finx is a mythic controller. He fires three projectiles, with the outer ones dealing 50% less damage than the center projectile. Finx’s super affects a circular area. It speeds up the projectile speed of teammates and slows down the speed of enemy projectiles. Finx released at the end of February.
Lumi
The second brawler released in the update is Lumi. She is another mythic brawler, but Lumi is a damage dealer. Her main attack throws a morning star. She can throw two of them, and her third attack recalls both. Lumi’s super fires three circles in front of each other, and the farther circles are bigger and deal more damage. The farthest circle also snares the enemy, which stops them from moving, but they can still attack. Lumi released at the end of March.
Out Now
This update has been out for a while now, and the new Katana Kingdom update has just been released and you can check the official Brawl Stars website for that update information.
